The Preliminary SAT, also known as the PSAT is a practice version of the SAT exam. If you earn a high score on the PSAT your junior year, you could qualify to receive a National Merit Scholarship. $300 million dollars in merit scholarships are awarded to students each year.

LHS will be offering optional PSAT testing on October 29th, 2026. This option is for sophomores and juniors only.
Students will need to report directly to the assigned room by 7:44 AM. Any late students will not be permitted to test.
Testing will be complete by approximately 11:30 AM.
These exams will be in an online format. Please bring your fully charged Chromebook.
Students will be excused from any missed classes on this day, but are responsible for any missing assignments.
The current cost of the exam is expected to be $18. Payment can be made on My School Bucks, by check (made payable to Lancaster High School), credit/debit card in person, or over the phone for an additional $1 AFTER the day of testing.
Students are encouraged to create a free account on collegeboard.org before the day of the exams.
Practice tests are available on the Bluebook app on your Chromebook.

Any student with IEP or 504 accommodations must submit this form BEFORE September 1st AND indicate the need for accommodations with the check box.
Registration will be open until the date above OR until 50 students sign up, whichever occurs first.
No late additions will be made.
